Our Organic Artisan Sourdough Country Loaf is the heart of the Stirred by God bakery — a full-size artisan loaf made for people who want bread that tastes like bread is supposed to taste.
Every loaf begins with Duchess 👑, our treasured living sourdough starter with a traditional Welsh lineage said to reach back nearly 900 years. She is cared for, fed and kept alive the traditional way — creating the natural fermentation that gives our sourdough its character.
Flour. Water. Salt. Living culture. Time.
We use premium imported organic flour, water, honey and sea salt. There is no commercial yeast. Instead, the dough is naturally leavened and given time to develop the deep flavor, beautiful texture and unmistakable character of traditional sourdough.
